From his beginnings as an actor at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, through his years as assistant to Luca Ronconi and the founding of the Teatro Bresci company, to productions for Italy's leading repertory theatres and opera direction.
Giorgio Sangati graduated as an actor in 2005 from the Piccolo Teatro di Milano School, directed by Luca Ronconi, later becoming his assistant for several years. In 2009 he founded the company Teatro Bresci. He has directed productions for the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, the Centro Teatrale Bresciano, the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, ERT Emilia Romagna Teatro, the Festival della Valle d'Itria, and the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow, where he won the award for Best Foreign Director in Russia in 2019.
