"How lovely, having dinner with Trevisan — I wanted to protect him"
Rodolfo Di Giammarco interviews Maria Paiato, star of Vitaliano Trevisan's "Il delirio del particolare" (winner of the Premio Riccione), directed by Giorgio Sangati: after its 2021 premiere was interrupted by Covid, the production returns to the stage from 13 to 19 November at the Teatro delle Passioni in Modena, before touring from 2 April to 13 May, with a stop at the Teatro Valle in Rome. The actress recalls her acquaintance with the writer, who died in 2022, and the work on a text that pays tribute — without ever naming him — to the architect Carlo Scarpa. Venice Is Ablaze
Fernando Marchiori reviews "Comeradovera", directed by Giorgio Sangati with students of the Accademia Teatrale Carlo Goldoni as part of the Biennale College, which reconstructs the 29 January 1996 fire at Venice's La Fenice opera house "in its factual and judicial aspects, but also in its sociological implications." Stefano Fortin's dramaturgy weaves together the threads of the inquiry and the trial with "the vivid, moving memory of a La Fenice orchestra member recounting that fateful night."
